This is the rule of this site's Tamil day sheet. In 2026 Krittika runs from 2:02 am on Tuesday 24 November to 11:25 pm on Tuesday 24 November India time, so in India its dusk is Tuesday's. In Toronto, New York, Edison, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Boston, Seattle, San Jose, Los Angeles the same nakshatram begins on the previous afternoon and has ended before the next dusk, so the lamps there are lit on Monday 23 November.
